US based Mozambican historian Benedito Machava joins Kaleidoscopio as an associate researcher. He holds a PhD in History from the University of Michigan and is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Princeton University. Machava is preparing the publication of his book on the politics of carcerality and citizenship in socialist Mozambique. At Kaleidoscopio, he will be joining the working group exploring the affective dimensions of everyday State and the materiality of bureaucratic practices.
